Die Schule ist sehr gut aufgebaut, v.a. was Jazz anbelangt. Die Übungen sind ohne Schnörkel, sehr effektiv. Die CD's sind unbrauchbar. Die Saxophonsoli grooven überhaupt nicht. Alte Hasen kann das nicht drausbringen, aber für Lernende ist das einfach verwirrend! Dann sind viele Titel schlecht gemischt. Das Schlagzeug ist manchmal nicht zu hören, was bei dem schlechten Groove sich katastrophal auswirkt...
Der Name des Buches sagt eigentlich alles;Sehr praxisorientiert und mit leicht verständlicher Theorie ist dieses Buch perfekt für Walking Bass- und Jazz-Neulinge bzw. angehende (aber auch etwas fortgeschrittene) Kontrabassisten.Es ist sehr übersichtlich und gut gegliedert, macht Lust auf Experiemente und ist alles andere als trockener Theorie-Stoff. Es macht einfach Spaß.Die mitgelieferten 3 CDs sind voll mit Beispielen und Play-Alongs (u.a. Autumn Leaves, Tenor Madness, Take the A-Train, So what, etc ...).Absolute Empfehlung!
